Screening of ‘Missing Ladies’ for SC judges on the initiative of CJI DY Chandrachud, Aamir-Kiran also participated

On the initiative of Chief Justice of India (CJI) DY Chandrachud, the Communication Division of the Supreme Court will organize a screening of the Hindi film ‘Laapta Ladies’ on Friday, August 9. All the judges of the Supreme Court and members of their families and registry will attend this screening. The film’s producer and Bollywood veteran actor Aamir Khan and the film’s director and his/her ex-wife Kiran Rao will also attend the screening. This meeting will be held in the auditorium of the administrative building complex of the apex court. This initiative is part of the gender sensitization program being run by the Chief Justice throughout the year in the Supreme Court. The idea of ​​​​this came to his/her wife Kalpana Das when she and her staff saw the film.

CJI said- this is also for mutual bonding among the members

“This is my initiative to sensitise the Supreme Court staff and that is why this screening is being done. There are many things happening in the Supreme Court which are not often publicised. Like now we have a 24×7 Ayurvedic clinic for the treatment and comfort of the Supreme Court staff. So this screening is also for mutual bonding among the members,” the CJI told Bar & Bench.
