School News: Have teachers become careless between pollution and online classes? Students’ attendance figures are giving testimony!

Along with teachers, the attendance of students has also been made online, but in many schools only the attendance of very few students is being done online. According to data till November, the average online attendance in Gurgaon district is 58 percent, which is much higher than the state average of 51 percent, but still quite low. Whereas Faridabad has 50 percent and Sonipat has the highest 93 percent.

Teachers of many schools in the district are not able to mark the attendance of students properly, either they forget or are careless. The process of monitoring attendance is also not working properly in some schools. Due to which the attendance records of many students are not updated properly. Education department officials in Gurgaon believe that to solve this problem, teachers should be made more aware.

Apart from this, the principal needs to be more strict in reviewing and monitoring attendance. Schools have to register this attendance on the MIS portal, but negligence is being done at the school level. If we look at the figures, up to 67% attendance is being done online in Nuh district.
District Education Officer Indu Bokan said that for improvement in the district, the administration has issued strict guidelines to teachers and principals regarding online attendance. Apart from this, an action plan has been prepared, which will include weekly reporting, weekly meetings at the school level and daily monitoring by the officials to ensure proper attendance recording.
