How to use NCERT Saathi Free Coaching Portal: A new scheme has recently been started by NCERT for the preparation of competitive examinations like JEE, NEET, SSC and Bank Recruitment. The name of this scheme is ‘Self Assessment Test and Help for Entrance Exams’ (SATHEE), it will become a companion for the students in preparing for the examinations. This program will help those students who live in remote and rural areas. SATHEE offers high-quality learning content, expert guidance, and self-assessment.

Amidst the ever increasing cost of coaching institutes, this initiative has been started in collaboration with IIT Kanpur. According to media reports, more than 4.37 lakh students have already registered to take advantage of this scheme.

What is ‘Sathee’ portal?

‘Sathee’ portal is a comprehensive online platform. Its aim is to reduce dependence on expensive coaching centres. This initiative is part of the government’s broader efforts under the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. Its objective is to ensure equal access to education for all.

Sathi portal provides learning materials, video lectures, mock tests and guidance from experts to the students to prepare for competitive exams. It offers a variety of resources for students of all backgrounds.

The platform has been made student friendly. Students can then access tutorials and self-assessment tools. It includes many resources like more than 60 thousand questions and 10 thousand hours of video lectures from experts from institutes like IIT and AIIMS. Students can register for this for free. You can choose your area of ​​focus – Engineering, Medical or SSC Exam.

NCERT Sathee Portal Registration Steps: How to register for Sathee Portal?

1. Visit the official Saathi portal on NCERT website.
2. Then create an account by entering your basic details like your name, email and education background.
3. Select the option for the competitive exam you are preparing for, like JEE, SSC, NEET or Bank.
4. Once registered, you can watch video lectures, self-assessment tools and live sessions.

One can also fill the Google Form on the portal to ask a question in the ‘Ask a doubt’ section. It will contain your query and exam details. An expert will answer this with guidance. AI has also been used extensively in this portal.
