New Delhi: Amidst the uproar over the NEET paper leak, the issue echoed in the Lok Sabha session as well. What happened was that the first session of the 18th Lok Sabha began on Monday. On the first day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Amit Shah, Rajnath Singh and newly elected members took oath. As soon as the proceedings of the House began on the first day, members of the ruling party started taking oath. Meanwhile, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan stood up to take oath as an MP. As soon as Dharmendra Pradhan stepped forward for the oath, opposition members started sloganeering. They raised slogans of NEET-NEET. The opposition expressed through its attitude that this time it is not in the mood to give a free hand to the government on any issue.

However, amidst the noise of the opposition, Dharmendra reached the seat of the Protem Speaker and came down after taking oath as an MP. During this, he/she did not look at the opposition. While coming down after taking the oath, he/she greeted PM Modi and then signed the register and sat on his/her seat. Protem Speaker Bhartrihari Mahtab is administering oath to the newly elected members in the Lok Sabha. PM Modi took oath first. During this, people of the ruling party raised slogans of ‘Modi-Modi’. Meanwhile, when Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan stood up for oath, the opposition members became active. They started sloganeering in the House regarding the NEET paper leak case. They raised slogans of NEET-NEET. Through this sloganeering, they directly targeted Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. However, Dharmendra Pradhan took oath amid opposition sloganeering.

Opposition parties are demanding cancellation of NEET UG Exam 2024. Meanwhile, the investigation of alleged irregularities in NEET-UG 2024 exam has been handed over to the CBI by the Ministry of Education. The agency swung into action immediately after receiving the investigation. On the complaint of the Union Education Ministry, the CBI registered an FIR on Sunday. The investigating agency has registered a case under various sections of the IPC. The CBI has also formed special teams to investigate the matter.
