Sameera Reddy used to cry after seeing her weight of 105 kg, lost her hair, stayed away from the industry

Bollywood actress Sameera Reddy had to work hard to lose the weight she gained after pregnancy. Seeing her heavy body, Sameera went into depression. Actress Sameera Reddy, known for films like ‘De Dana Dan’ and ‘Musafir’, recently talked about her challenging experience during and after her first pregnancy. Since 2014, she is married to businessman Akshay Varde and Next year in 2015, she became a mother. After son Hans, Sameera had daughter Nyara in the year 2019. Sameera talked about her motherhood on ‘The Debina Banerjee Show’. She revealed that after giving birth to her son Hans in 2015, her weight had increased to 105 kg.

She told that this increased weight not only affected her physically but it also had a huge impact on her mental health. She also told how she struggled with depression for a year after looking at her body.

She started feeling isolated

Sameera told how she started feeling isolated after seeing the drastic changes in her body. She told that after becoming a mother, she did not come out of the house for a year. She told that due to her physical changes, she was also feeling emotionally burdened.

She realized this only during her second pregnancy.

his/her experience became worse due to the lack of understanding from medical professionals. She said that her gynecologist did not give importance to postpartum depression, which she realized only during her second pregnancy. Sameera believes that the lack of awareness about issues after pregnancy needs to change. he/she said families often shy away from discussing such topics before weddings.

Mother-in-law had said this

During the struggle of motherhood, Sameera also talked about the support she received from Akshay, who took up many of the responsibilities of parenting. In her old interview given to Humans of Bombay, she had said, ‘My mother-in-law had said – Your child is healthy, your husband is supportive, so why are you worried? I had no answer.

‘I was diagnosed with alopecia areata, I lost the hair on my head’

She further said, ‘When I was discharged, I was crying a lot. I was feeling guilty that I was not with Hans. This continued for a year. I started crying often. I had completely cut myself off from the film industry. I was still 105 kg and I was diagnosed with alopecia areata, the hair on my head fell out.
