An official said the accused stayed in West Bengal for a few weeks and used the Aadhaar card of a local person to buy a SIM card before coming to Mumbai in search of a job.

Mumbai Police found 19 fingerprints of Shahzad from Saif Ali Khan’s house, took them home and recreated the crime scene.

Dawki river is 96 kilometers long

About Dawki river, it is also known as Umngot and Wah Umngot. It flows through Dawki, a small town in the lower reaches of the West Jaintia Hills district of Meghalaya. The accused had tried to get a SIM card made

Police said preliminary investigation revealed that the SIM card used by the accused was registered in the name of Khukumoni Jahangir Sekha, a resident of West Bengal. The officer said that Fakir tried to get an Aadhaar card made for himself too, but failed. In Mumbai, the accused chose to work at places where he/she was not required to produce documents and Amit Pandey, a labor contractor, helped him/her get housekeeping jobs in pubs and hotels in Worli and Thane.

The accused had made many phone calls in Bangladesh

he/she said that after examining the accused’s cellphone, the police found that he/she had made several phone calls to Bangladesh and had used some mobile applications to call his/her family in the neighboring country. Saif Ali Khan (54) was injured multiple times when an intruder attacked him/her with a knife inside his/her apartment on the 12th floor of the building on January 16. Saif’s surgery was done at Lilavati Hospital. The Metropolitan Magistrate’s court in Bandra has sent the accused to five-day police custody.

Police recreated the crime scene

At the same time, Mumbai Police took the accused to the actor’s house in Bandra to connect the links of the incident in the Saif attack case. A team of 20 officers reached the ‘Satguru Sharan’ building in four police vans around 5.30 am and stayed in the premises for an hour, the officer said. he/she told that the police team entered the building from the front gate along with accused Shariful Islam Shahzad Mohammad Rohilla Amin Fakir. Later they also took him/her to Bandra Railway Station, from where he/she caught a train to Dadar. The police also took the accused to a garden outside where he/she had slept after the attack.

Forensic team collected evidence

The forensic department team reached the actor’s house and collected evidence. Apart from this, the police had also detained two domestic helpers working in Saif’s house and interrogated them, after which they were released. The police have so far interrogated many people in this case.

Was planning to flee my country

The accused told the police that he/she used to play in the lower weight category. During interrogation it also emerged that he/she had recceed the houses of many celebrities before entering Saif Ali Khan’s house. he/she used to get information about the houses of film personalities from the rickshaw puller.

Increased security at Saif’s house
