What is the whole story, this was told by Saif Ali Khan himself in an interview. Saif Ali Khan is the 10th Nawab of Pataudi family. Due to this, many people believe that Saif inherited all the property and Pataudi palace without any hard work. Whereas this is not true. In fact, Pataudi Palace was converted into a heritage hotel in the early 2000s. It was on rent near Neemrana Hotels. From the year 2005, this Pataudi Palace started being run as a luxury hotel. It had become a favorite spot for everything from destination weddings to high-profile weddings. Till 2014 it continued to function as a hotel.

Decision to take back the palace after Abba’s death

But Saif decided to take back the Pataudi palace after the death of his/her father Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi. his/her father passed away in the year 2011. After him/her, the legal heir of Pataudi palace was Saif Ali Khan. But they came to know that it was given on lease and they had to pay money to get it back. But this amount was not small.

Neemrana Hotels had a palace on rent, when asked for it back they said – will have to pay a lot of money

Saif had said in an interview to ‘Mid Day’ that after Abba’s death, Pataudi Mahal was on rent near Neemrana Hotels. Aman Nath and Francis were looking after it. When Francis died, Aman Nath told Saif that if he/she wanted the palace back he/she would have to pay a lot of money. he/she had told Saif, ‘When I told them that I want the palace back, they held a conference and said that okay, then you will have to pay us a lot of money. And then I earned that money.

Pataudi palace was taken back by giving 800 crores, grandmother was against

To buy back the Pataudi palace, Saif again did a lot of films and shows and kept collecting whatever money he/she earned. Saif then finally bought it from Neemrana Hotels for Rs 800 crore. Saif had told ‘India Today’ that Padaudi Mahal was given on rent by his/her father and his/her grandmother was against it because it was historical.
