Saif Ali Khan will be discharged by Monday evening! Police will record statement, crime scene will also be recreated

Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan was attacked on the night of 16 January. Bangladeshi citizen Mohammad Shariful Islam Shahzad has been arrested for attempting to steal from the actor’s house and stabbing him/her six times. On the other hand, after the surgery of Saif admitted in Lilavati Hospital, his/her health is now said to be fine. The latest information is that Saif Ali Khan can be discharged from the hospital on Monday. Besides, Mumbai Police will also record the statement of the actor. Not only this, the police along with the accused Shariful, who has been sent to police custody for 5 days, are also going to go to the actor’s house and recreate the crime scene. According to the police, the accused Shariful Islam Shahzad attacked Saif Ali Khan with a knife when The actor was stopping him/her and was having a fight with him/her. During this, a knife cut occurred near his/her spine. A part of the knife got stuck inside Saif near his/her spine. Doctors removed this 2.5 inch piece of the knife after a 5-hour long surgery.

Saif advised bed rest at home even after discharge

Saif is currently resting in the hospital after surgery. They have also been forbidden to talk much. Also, he/she has been advised bed rest even after going home. However, doctors have not commented on when he/she will be discharged from the hospital. But according to reports, the actor may be discharged on Monday. Keeping in mind the advice of doctors, Mumbai Police has not yet recorded the statement of Saif Ali Khan.

It is reported that Mumbai Police will record the actor’s statement in this case on Monday. Besides, the crime scene will also be recreated by taking the accused to the place of the incident. Earlier on Friday evening, Kareena Kapoor Khan’s statement was taken. Kareena said in her statement to the police that the thief did not steal anything from her house, but he/she was very aggressive.

Mumbai court has sent the accused to police custody for 5 days. According to the Crime Branch, Mohammad Shariful Islam Shahzad is a Bangladeshi citizen. he/she changed his/her name to Bijoy Das because he/she had entered India illegally. It was also revealed that this accused worked as housekeeping staff in a bar in Thane. The accused, identified as Mohammad Shariful Islam Shahzad of Jhalokati district of Bangladesh, has told during interrogation that he/she had entered Saif Ali Khan’s house with the intention of theft. However, he/she did not know whose house this was.

Accused caught from Thane, lawyer claims – Police does not have evidence

A case has been registered at Bandra police station under various sections of the Indian Code of Justice (BNS). Police have also said that after committing the crime, Shahzad was trying to escape to his/her native village. But before that he/she was caught in Thane. However, the accused’s lawyer Sandeep Shekhane has refuted the police claims. The lawyer says that the police has no evidence against Shehzad. The police have not done proper investigation in the matter. While the police is saying that Shehzad came to Mumbai 6 months ago, the lawyer says that the accused has been living in Mumbai for 7 years.
