Saif Ali Khan did not ask for high security for himself, Minister of State for Home said – no request came

Bollywood star Saif Ali Khan was attacked with a knife after someone entered his/her house and was rushed to the hospital in the chaos. Saif suffered a serious injury after which he/she underwent surgery. At present he/she is fine but now everyone is scared of this danger. Despite all this, the actor has not demanded any high security for himself. Maharashtra Minister of State for Home Yogesh Kadam said Saif Ali Khan has not requested for any security cover, but if applied for, the state home department will give it to him/her after following due process. Speaking to media in Pune. Speaking to PTI, Kadam said Mumbai Police has detained a man whose face matches that of the suspected attacker, whose face was captured on CCTV cameras as he/she was running away from the building. Saif Ali Khan was seriously injured when an intruder entered his/her 12th floor flat in Bandra in the early hours of Thursday and repeatedly attacked him/her with a knife.

Talking about providing security to Saif Ali Khan, Kadam said, ‘Giving security is not a political decision, it was taken by a special committee appointed for it. The committee completely looks at the security for those people and then takes the decision. A similar process is followed for everyone.

Is any gang involved in the incident?

Kadam confirmed that Saif Ali Khan has not informed the police about facing any threat till date and has not requested any security cover. When asked about the involvement of any criminal gang in the attack, the minister said that this possibility has been ruled out in the preliminary investigation. he/she said, ‘So far, theft seems to be the only motive behind the incident.’
