During this period, the Mumbai Police had demanded the court to extend the police remand two more days, but the court has rejected it. Judge said- investigation completed, no longer police remand is needed

The court rejected the demand for increasing the two -day remand from the police. The court asked the police to read the new Indian Justice. If any new evidence comes up during the investigation, then under the new law, police remand can be sought again of the accused. The court said that it is not appropriate to increase police custody of the accused in the current situation. In the court, the magistrate said that the investigation in the case has been completed, in such a situation, there is no need to increase the police remand further.

The police claim that the accused arrested from Thane, Shariful Islam, is a Bangladeshi, who replaced his/her name from Mohammad Shariful Islam Shahzad to ‘Bijoy Das’ after illegally entered India. Saif Ali Khan was discharged from hospital after 5 days
