S. Jaishankar Education in Hindi: Famous name S. Jaishankar… Full name Subramaniam Jaishankar, the person who has become the outspoken voice of India in the country and the world, has worked as the Foreign Secretary and Ambassador of India for a long time. After his/her retirement and the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, considering his/her skills and talent, proposed him/her to take over the post of Foreign Minister of India.

Jaishankar was somewhat surprised by this decision of PM Modi and accepted the proposal on his/her request. Today he/she is playing a role in trumpeting India’s foreign policy all over the world. he/she has reached the post of Foreign Minister after going through a long journey of education and career. Initially Jaishankar was not interested in UPSC exam and after studying in JNU, he/she was moving to Australia for PhD, for which he/she had got a scholarship at Australia National University.

Meanwhile, his/her elder brother S.Vijay Kumar became IAS after passing UPSC exam and S. Jaishankar also became interested in this examination. After this, after passing the UPSC examination, he/she became a part of IFS (Indian Foreign Service) in the year 1977.

Jaishankar joined the Indian Foreign Service in 1977. he/she served as Third Secretary and Second Secretary in the Indian Mission to the Soviet Union in Moscow from 1979 to 1981. he/she has also served as High Commissioner to Singapore, Czech Republic, China and Ambassador to the United States. On 29 January 2015, he/she was appointed the Foreign Secretary of India.

On May 30, 2019, Jaishankar was sworn in as a cabinet minister. On May 31, 2019, he/she was appointed to the post of Foreign Minister. Jaishankar was also awarded the Padma Shri, the fourth highest civilian award, by the Government of India in 2019 for his/her contributions to Indian diplomacy.
