Russian Ambassador breaks silence on PM Modi-Xi Jinping bilateral talks in Kazan, know what he/she said

New Delhi: Prime Minister during the BRICS summit in Kazan city of Russia Narendra Modi And Chinese President Xi Jinping had bilateral talks. Russian Ambassador to India Denis Alipov has commented regarding this talk. he/she described this meeting as a positive development in bilateral relations between India and China. Alipov said that the BRICS summit was recently held in Kazan city of Russia, which was completely successful. This is not an exclusive, but an inclusive platform.

BRICS is not anti-West, a group of non-Western countries – Alipov

Alipov said in Delhi that BRICS is not anti-West, but a group of non-Western countries. When asked whether Russia had any role in the meeting between PM Modi and Xi Jinping? Alipov said that we did not play any role in this, but we are happy that this meeting took place in Kazan. We welcome this meeting wholeheartedly. This meeting of PM Modi and Xi Jinping took place on 23 October.

What did the Russian ambassador say on India-China relations?

In this meeting, the agreement between India and China regarding patrolling and withdrawal of troops on the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in Eastern Ladakh was supported. The leaders of both the countries had separately issued instructions to resume bilateral talks. This was a sign of efforts to normalize relations affected by the deadly military clash in Galwan in 2020.

On the talks between India and China in Kazan, the Russian Ambassador said that such a meeting took place after almost five years. This is a positive development in India-China bilateral relations. Alipov referred to a news published in a leading Indian newspaper, which was based on an interview with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. he/she said that in the interview, Zelensky had described the BRICS summit as a big ‘failure’. Alipov countered Zelensky’s point and said the summit in Kazan was a complete success.
