RTE Maharashtra 2025: What is the number of seats?

According to the information given on the RTE Maharashtra portal, the number of schools that have registered for 25 percent free seats under the Right to Education Act in the state is 8,849. The total number of RTE seats in these schools is 1,08,961 in 2025. If we look district wise, this time maximum seats of 18,451 are in Pune. Those children whose parents’ annual family income is up to Rs 1 lakh can come under EWS quota on these seats.
