Rohit Sharma’s suspense regarding Sydney Test is over! Who will replace?

New Delhi. Indian cricket team captain Rohit Sharma may be out of the Sydney Test. The fifth and last Test match of the 5-match series between India and Australia will be played in Sydney from Friday. While all the players of Team India were seen practicing a day before this Test match, Rohit was seen without a bat in the initial practice session. Rohit did not practice with other teammates. he/she came to the nets and was seen talking to teammate Jasprit Bumrah. While Rohit kept walking here and there with my hand in his/her. Indications from Team India’s head coach Gautam Gambhir are also pointing in this direction. Who said that we will tell about our playing eleven in the morning after seeing the pitch on the match day.

Gautam Gambhir pointed out in the press conference that the captain’s place is not safe in the playing eleven. Rohit Sharma is yearning for runs on the current Australia tour. Only 31 runs have come from his/her bat in 3 test matches. The way Rohit did not practice a day before the match and was seen talking only to Bumrah, it indicates that he/she may not play in the Sydney Test. Shubhman Gill can be fielded in his/her place. The captaincy can be given to Bumrah, who led Team India to a big win by 295 runs in the first Test match played in Perth.

Gautam Gambhir broke his/her silence on Team India’s dressing room controversy, said – honest people…

Century on 44 balls… This batsman scored the first international century of the year 2025, swung the bat like a hammer.

‘Every player knows where he/she needs to improve’
Gautam Gambhir said that he/she did not talk to senior batsman Virat Kohli and captain Rohit Sharma about anything except the strategy to win the Test match. According to Gambhir, ‘Every player knows where he/she has to improve. We have only talked to him/her about how to win test matches. When Gambhir was asked about India’s playing eleven in the Sydney Test, he/she said that it will be known only on the day of the match. he/she said that we will see the pitch first thing in the morning on the match day and then decide on our playing eleven.

‘Rohit was not seen in practice in slip cordon’
Rohit Sharma was not even seen in the slip cordon in the practice session on Thursday, a day before the Sydney Test. Usually, Rohit fields in the slips but his/her absence in practice indicates that he/she may not play in the Sydney Test. Amidst all this, Gambhir said that dressing room ‘debates’ should not be made public and he/she spoke to the players ‘honestly’ as only performance can keep them in the team. Amid reports of tension in the dressing room, Gambhir said that they are just reports, not the truth.

‘These are just reports’
Gambhir said in the press conference before the fifth and final Test against Australia starting on Friday, ‘The discussion between the coach and the player should remain in the dressing room only. Harsh words. These are just reports, not the truth. he/she said, ‘As long as honest people are in the dressing room, Indian cricket is in safe hands. Only one thing can keep you in the dressing room and that is performance. Things were said honestly and honesty is important.
