Rohit Sharma will not open in the second test, hints given before the match

New Delhi. When Indian cricket team captain Rohit Sharma reached Australia to play the Test series, the first question was in which order he/she would bat. In the first match of Border Gavaskar Trophy, KL Rahul opened the innings with Yashasvi Jaiswal. A new record was set by making a partnership of more than 200 runs in the second innings. The same pair came out to open against Prime Minister’s XI also. In such a situation, the question is bound to arise whether Rohit will open the innings in the day-night test or not.

India captain Rohit Sharma surprised everyone during the pink-ball warm-up match against Australian Prime Minister’s XI. The captain gave up his/her batting position for KL Rahul. he/she did this because of his/her brilliant performance with Yashasvi Jaiswal in the first Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. KL Rahul, who played as an opener in the absence of Rohit in the Perth Test, made a historic partnership of 201 runs with Yashasvi Jaiswal. This was the highest first wicket partnership made by Indian batsmen in Test cricket on Australian soil.

KL will open, Rohit Sharma indicated
