‘Rohit Sharma is a better captain than Dhoni because…’ Why did Harbhajan keep the hitman above Mahi?

New DelhiIndia has won the T20 World Cup title twice till date. Once in the year 2007 under the captaincy of MS Dhoni, second time in the year 2024 under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma. Both are known for their excellent strategies. Former Indian cricketer Harbhajan Singh has considered Rohit Sharma to be a better captain than MS Dhoni in some respects.

While talking on sports friendship, Harbhajan Singh told why he/she considers Rohit Sharma above Dhoni. he/she said, “I chose Rohit over Dhoni because Rohit is the captain of the players. he/she goes to the players and asks them what they want. his/her teammates connect with him/her very well. But Dhoni’s style was different.

A cricketer, who had two fingers missing, became the world’s star bowler, even Kapil Dev could not stand him/her.

Harbhajan further said, “he/she (Dhoni) did not talk to anyone. he/she used to express his/her thoughts through his/her silence. This was his/her way of talking to others. Dhoni and Rohit are completely different captains. MS Dhoni never goes to any player and asks him/her which field he/she wants. he/she would let you learn from your mistakes.”

Let us tell you that Dhoni is the only captain of India to win the ICC title thrice. Whereas Rohit has made India win the T20 World Cup. Under the captaincy of Rohit, Team India reached the final of the 2023 ODI World Cup. But there the team had to face defeat at the hands of Australia. India had missed becoming the winner of the ODI World Cup for the third time.
