Rohit-Ashwin surprised, Rishabh Pant signaled to the umpire and got the wicket

New Delhi. Indian cricket team’s wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant keeps troubling Australia in some way or the other. In the first innings of the Pink Ball Test, when he/she did not get a big score with his/her bat, he/she gave a big blow to the team from behind the wicket. In the second day’s play, he/she took the wicket of a explosive batsman like Mitchell Marsh with great understanding. This wicket was such that neither Ravichandran Ashwin, who was bowling, had any knowledge about it, nor did captain Rohit Sharma know anything about it.

Rishabh Pant’s wisdom helped the Indian team get one wicket against Australia. After dinner on the second day of the Pink Boss Test, something was seen on R Ashwan’s ball which is not usually seen. R Ashwin’s ball passed through the bat of Mitchell Marsh and from behind the wicket, Rishabh Pant raised his/her hand towards the umpire and appealed to be given out. The umpire immediately accepted this appeal of catch and raised his/her finger. Mitchell Marsh returned after scoring 9 runs.

Rishabh Pant appealed for a catch against Mitchell Marsh, on which the umpire gave him/her out, but both captain Rohit Sharma and bowler R Ashwin were surprised by this. When the Indian wicketkeeper appealed and got out, captain Rohit Sharma, standing in his/her sleep, asked him/her whether it had actually hit the bat. At the same time, Ashwin also looked completely surprised by the umpire’s decision.
