Players like Rohit Sharma, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Rishabh Pant have been out of their Ranji team after playing just 1 match. The good thing is that the fans will be seen playing for Delhi after a decade in the Ranji Trophy.
Rishabh Pant, who played Delhi’s Ranji Trophy Elite Group D match against Saurashtra in Rajkot last week, will not play in the last group stage match against Railways. Delhi will face the railway at Arun Jaitley Stadium from 30 January to 2 February. The 27 -year -old Pant has not been included in the Delhi team announced on Monday (27 January).
Pant captained Delhi’s Ranji Trophy team in the last match. In the match against Saurashtra, he/she could not do anything more than the bat and the team lost by 10 wickets within two days. Batting at number 5 in the first innings, Pant scored 1 run off 10 balls. Batting at number 6 in the second innings, scored 17 runs off 26 balls.
Even though Pant will not be available in the last group match for Delhi, but the return of star batsman Virat Kohli will strengthen the team. The 36 -year -old right -handed batsman was included in the Delhi team on Monday. Kohli last played a Ranji Trophy match for Delhi against Uttar Pradesh in Mohan Nagar, Ghaziabad in 2012.

Rohit and Jaiswal will not play Ranji
The current Ranji champion Mumbai will have to play against Meghalaya in their last Elite Group A match without Rohit Sharma, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shreyas Iyer.
