The news that came just before the second match of the T20 series between India and England must have broken the hearts of the fans. Two big match winners of T-20 format will not be able to play on the field of Chennai.

There is no doubt that Team India has suffered a huge blow just before the second match of the series. Two excellent players of the team are out due to injury. The Board of Control for Cricket in India said that Rinku Singh and Nitish Kumar Reddy have been out of the team. Shivam Dubey and Ramandeep Singh have been given a chance in their place. Dubey-Ramandeep have seen good performance so far.

How serious is Rinku-Nitish’s injury?

The news of sudden unfitness of both Rinku Singh and Nitish Reddy, who could not play even a single ball in the first match, shocked everyone, which was officially confirmed by BCCI’s mail. While sharing the information on the website, it was said that Rinku and Nitish are out of Team India. Reddy got injured during practice on Friday. he/she has been ruled out of the five-match T20 series. Nitish Reddy will be sent to Bangalore. The medical team will take care of him/her here. Regarding Rinku Singh, it is clearly written in the mail that he/she is out only from the second and third matches and a decision will be taken on him/her after the Chennai match. Nitish Kumar Reddy has suffered a side strain injury, while Rinku Singh has suffered lower back spasms. Shivam Dubey, who was included in the team, last played an ODI series against Sri Lanka in August 2024. After this, he/she could not play in the home T-20 series against Bangladesh due to a back injury. Shivam Dubey made a comeback to cricket with the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, where he/she scored 151 runs in 5 innings at a strike rate of 179.76 and took 3 wickets at an economy of 9.31.
