Riddhi Dogra, who came into limelight with the role of Shahrukh Khan’s mother in ‘Jawaan’, is currently seen in the role of a journalist in ‘The Sabarmati Report’. Here she gives us her frank opinion on many issues. About her new film, she says, ‘When I got the offer of The Sabarmati Report, I had initially refused. I come from a political background. Arun Jaitley (well-known politician) is my uncle, so I had decided that I do not want to go in that direction.

Sometimes I block people who say very offensive things. I can’t bear it when people try to look down on me because I am a woman. I have blocked thousands. Although they should not affect our personal lives, I feel that we should not entertain them either.

Riddhi says, ‘They entangled us in hair, makeup and clothes and said, go fight each other. Why do we have to put down five girls to enter a man’s world? I belong to an industry where if a girl is successful, then why is it said about her that she must have had an affair with someone, she must have slept with someone. Whenever a woman talks like this, I fight her. Men also say that a woman is a woman’s biggest enemy. This is also true. I feel that if we women stick together, no one will be able to break us.

Talking about her experience of working with King Khan and Vikrant, she says, ‘For all of us, Shahrukh Khan is synonymous with love. Shahrukh is no less than an emotion for us, but if I talk about these two, then there is one thing common in both of them that neither of them left their consistency as an actor nor did they leave that quality due to which the public liked them.
