‘Returns of the Dragon’ movie review
The film, written and directed by Ashwath Marimuthu, tries to give a good teaching with light entertainment. There are some good twists in the film, it also entertains in many places, but the story seems very drawn. Especially the first half events do not seem relative.
The personality and thinking of the film’s protagonist D Raghavan alias Dragon does not feel connected to the way the heart changes. The story connects in second half, but by then it is late.
The same applies to Pradeep’s acting. his/her acting is loud in the role of a college don, which is better than the seressness in his/her character in the later part. Kayadu looks good as Anupama and Pallavi as Kirti. However, his/her characters do not have depth.
Apart from these, Misskin as the principal of the college, Gautam Vasudev Menon and father Dhanpal in the role of Dhanpal impress Georon.
Talking about the technical aspects, Niket Bommmeddy’s cinematography is good, while Pradeep E Raghav’s editing and Leon James’s music is scope for betterment.
Why see- A good message with a good message, a light entertaining film is the heart, then you can give a chance to ‘Return of the Dragon’.
