Virat Kohli will be seen playing in Ranji Trophy after 12 years.
New Delhi. Virat Kohli is ready to return to the Ranji Trophy match. he/she is currently busy practicing. The teams of Delhi and Railways will face each other at the Ferozshah Kotla Ground in Delhi from January 30. In this match, Virat Kohli will be seen playing for Delhi. Virat is going to make a comeback in Ranji Trophy to regain his/her lost form. he/she will enter Ranji Trophy after 12 years. Before this, he/she has called Sanjay Bangar for help in batting. Bangar has seen Virat Kohli’s brilliant phase as an international cricketer from 2014 to 2019. Therefore, when Kohli remembered Bangar, no one was surprised.
After the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) directed all centrally contracted cricketers to be available for domestic cricket, Kohli will play in Delhi’s last league match against Railways from January 30. Captain Rohit Sharma, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Shubman Gill, Rishabh Pant and Ravindra Jadeja followed these instructions by participating in the previous round of Ranji Trophy. Of these star players, only Jadeja (12 wickets, 38 runs) and Gill (102 in second innings) performed well.
Kohli’s performance against Australia in the Border Gavaskar Trophy was not good. he/she could score only 190 runs in nine innings due to which questions were being raised about his/her future in Test cricket. Kohli lost his/her wicket on balls going outside the off stump. To work on these technical aspects, Kohli took the help of Bangar, who was the batting coach of the Indian team during the five crucial years of the star cricketer. Bangar has a good understanding of Kohli’s game. Kohli scored most of his/her 80 international centuries between 2014 and 2019 when Bangar was part of the national team. After Bangar’s tenure ended, Kohli has scored only two centuries in Test cricket in the last five years.
Bangar’s tenure ended after the ODI World Cup 2019 and Vikram Rathod was appointed batting coach in his/her place. A senior BCCI official told PTI, ‘After the ODI World Cup 2019, when Kohli’s reaction was sought for the support staff. So he/she praised Bangar a lot. he/she had said that his/her technical advice had benefited him/her a lot over the years. After his/her tenure in the national team ended, Bangar joined the Royal Challengers Bangalore team in the IPL, where Kohli’s words get a lot of attention. This makes it clear how much trust Kohli has on Bangar.
Kohli could not play in the last round of Ranji Trophy due to neck muscle strain. Meanwhile, however, he/she took part in a special practice session with Bangar. In this practice session, Bangar was shown throwing down to Kohli from a distance of 16 yards. he/she made Kohli practice on the rising ball continuously. Kohli wanted to improve his/her game on the backfoot and hence he/she took the help of Sanjay Bangar. Meanwhile, Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) hopes that due to Kohli’s playing, at least 10,000 spectators can reach this match. No entry fee will be charged from the spectators. A senior DDCA official said, ‘No entry fee has ever been charged to watch Ranji matches and the same tradition will continue. The only thing is that two stands will be opened for the fans because we know that cricket lovers are very excited about Virat playing in this match.
