Return after 1 year… Team announced before the start of ODI series

New Delhi. West Indies announced its 15-member squad for the 3-match ODI series against England. The strong batsman Shimron Hetmyer has returned to this team, who will play ODI after almost a year. The series between West Indies and England will start from October 31. The surprising thing is that the West Indies announced their team just a few hours before the start of the series. Along with Hetmyer, Alick Athanase was also successful in making a comeback. Hetmyer played his/her last ODI in December 2023. Evin Lewis opened in the third ODI against Sri Lanka played in Pallekele. Lewis came to play in ODI after three overs and played an unbeaten inning of 102 runs on 61 balls. West Indies won this match under the Duckworth-Lewis rule. Shai Hope will captain the West Indies team. This team also includes 17 year old Jewel Andrew who made his/her debut in the Lanka series.

West Indies-England ODI series schedule
The first ODI of the 3-match series will be played on Thursday (31 October) while the second ODI will be held on 2 November. The third and last ODI match will be played on 6 November. The first ODI will be played in Bridgetown at 11.30 pm Indian time. The second and third ODIs will be played at Gross Islet from 1:30 am. The England team has reached the West Indies tour for the third time since 2022. England will be captained by Liam Livingstone. Jos Buttler is undergoing rehab. his/her calf injury has not yet completely healed. he/she has been out of the England team since July.
