Registration of new MPs begins after the results of Lok Sabha elections, many facilities will be available

New DelhiAfter the results of the Lok Sabha elections, the new Lok Sabha has started taking shape. The registration of the newly elected members has started at the help desk being run by the Lok Sabha Secretariat for the registration of new members. For this, digital registration desks have been provided by the Lok Sabha Secretariat. According to sources in the Secretariat, 55 elected members have registered themselves at this desk in the last two days. These include members coming from all parts of the country.

20 digital registration counters have been set up for the registration of members of the 18th Lok Sabha. The process is completely paperless and technology-based. It includes everything from opening the account of the members in the Parliament-based bank with their personal information and details to taking their biometric identification. This process will be open from 8 am to 8 pm on June 14, including Saturdays and Sundays.

To help the honourables coming from different parts of the country, the Lok Sabha Secretariat has set up guide posts at airports and railway stations. Apart from these, temporary accommodation facility will be provided to the members in Western Court Annexe/Hostel and buildings/Guest Houses of states/union territories. A computerized system has been prepared for this. At the same time, CGHS medical post has also been prepared for these members, which will work round the clock.
