REET 2024-25: 5 options will be available for the first time, marks will be deducted even if you leave questions, REET exam pattern changed

Rajasthan REET Exam 2025 News in Hindi: The notification of Rajasthan Teacher Eligibility Test, REET has arrived on the official website rajasthan.rajeduboard.gov.in. But what is surprising is the exam pattern of REET. This time in the REET exam, you are going to get 5 options each. Yes, according to the information received from RBSE Board Secretary Kailash Chand Sharma, for the first time, 5 options will be given for each MCQ question in the REET exam paper. Earlier the number of these options used to be 4.

Not only this, apart from this another new rule is being implemented. There is negative marking attached to that REIT. Earlier, if you answered a question wrong, marks were deducted for that. In such a situation, to avoid negative marking, candidates did not solve those questions whose answers they did not know. But this will not happen now.

REET: Negative marking for skipping questions

RBSE Board Secretary has told that it will be necessary for the candidates to mark the answer to each question. If you leave any question blank, there will be negative marking for that also. Here the fifth option will be useful for you.

Understand it like this- The correct answer to each question will be hidden in its first 4 options. Whereas the fifth option of every question will have to be marked when you do not know the correct answer. That means instead of leaving the question blank, you just have to fill in the circle of the 5th option. For this neither extra marks will be given nor marks will be deducted from the marks obtained. But if you forget to fill that 5th option, then marks will definitely be deducted from the marks obtained. But if you do not choose even one of all 5 options in more than 10 percent of the total questions, you will be disqualified.

It is noteworthy that this rule was also implemented in Rajasthan CET exam 2024. Now this new rule of negative marking is being implemented in REET exam also.

What is reit?

To become a government teacher in Rajasthan, it is necessary to pass REET exam. This is a mandatory qualification for teacher recruitment in Rajasthan. However, just passing the REET exam does not guarantee a job. REET certificate gives you the eligibility to apply for the vacancy. There are two levels in REET – REET Level-1 exam is for becoming a teacher in class 1 to 5. Passing the REET Level 2 exam gives you the qualification to teach from class 6th to class 8th.
