Red alert of heat wave in Delhi… Scorching from UP to Rajasthan, when will monsoon bring relief?


New Delhi : Delhi has been experiencing severe heat since last one week. Apart from Delhi, the heat wave is also being seen in Haryana, Punjab and UP. The heat in the capital is such that the mercury is being recorded three to 4 degrees Celsius higher than normal. The Meteorological Department has also issued a red alert regarding heat wave in Delhi from 24 to 26 May. The Meteorological Department says that heat wave conditions will continue in Delhi and surrounding areas. The mercury can reach 46 degrees Celsius in the capital. On the other hand, it is raining in the South Indian states of Kerala and Tamil Nadu. An update regarding monsoon has also been issued by the Meteorological Department.

How will the weather be in future?

The Meteorological Department says that heat wave conditions will persist in Jammu, Himachal Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Vidarbha till May 27. Heat wave is predicted in Gujarat from 23 to 27 May, in Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra from 23 to 25 May, and in Punjab from 23 May. Heat wave has been predicted in eastern UP from May 25 to May 27. There will be severe heat wave conditions in many areas of Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana and some areas of Chandigarh from May 23 to May 27. Mild to severe heat wave is predicted in western Uttar Pradesh on 26th and 27th and in isolated pockets of Delhi from 24th to 27th May. Nights will also be hot in Rajasthan, Delhi, Punjab and Chandigarh.

What is the condition of monsoon?

Seeing the heat in Delhi-NCR, the people of Delhi are now waiting for the monsoon. The Meteorological Department says that monsoon is expected to reach Kerala on June 1. Whereas in Delhi we will have to wait for monsoon. According to the Meteorological Department, monsoon will reach Delhi by July 2. According to the Meteorological Department, monsoon may reach Bihar by June 16, West Bengal by June 13 and UP by June 29. According to IMD, there is expected to be more than average rainfall in monsoon this year. This time La Nina is being said to be the reason behind above average rainfall.

The entire Rajasthan is in the grip of extreme heat these days. The maximum temperature in the state is being recorded up to five degrees Celsius above normal. The Meteorological Department has issued a warning of severe heat i.e. ‘Red Alert’ in many districts. The heat in the state can be gauged from the fact that in the last 24 hours the minimum temperature recorded in Phalodi was 34.6 degrees Celsius. Apart from this, minimum temperature was recorded at 34.2 degree Celsius in Jalore, 33.6 degree Celsius in Kota, 33.3 degree Celsius in Jaisalmer, 33.5 degree Celsius in Dungarpur, 32.2 degree Celsius in Jaipur and Barmer and 31.7 degree Celsius in Bhilwara. According to the Meteorological Center, there is no hope for the people of the state to get immediate relief from this scorching heat. According to this, the maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to increase by another 2-3 degrees Celsius in the next 72 hours.

West Bengal: There will be rain due to cyclone

A storm developing in the Bay of Bengal is likely to turn into a severe cyclone and reach the coast of West Bengal and adjacent Bangladesh on May 26. The Meteorological Department gave this information on Thursday. Due to the cyclone, there is a possibility of heavy rain in many areas of the coastal districts of West Bengal North 24 Parganas, South 24 Parganas and East Midnapore while light to moderate rain is expected in some areas.
The weather office said a low pressure system present in the Bay of Bengal is likely to intensify into a deep depression on Friday and then into a cyclone over east-central Bay of Bengal the next day. The Meteorological Department said that after this, by Sunday evening it will reach the coast of Bangladesh and adjacent West Bengal as a severe cyclone.

Heavy rain continues in Kerala

Heavy rain continued in many parts of Kerala on Thursday. Due to this, the problem of waterlogging arose in major cities including Thiruvananthapuram, Kochi and Thrissur. India Meteorological Department today issued orange alert in nine districts of the state in view of heavy rains.
Official sources said that due to heavy rains, flights from Kozhikode International Airport have been delayed. The IMD has issued an orange alert in Alappuzha, Kottayam, Ernakulam, Idukki, Thrissur, Palakkad, Malappuram, Kozhikode and Wayanad districts of the state.
