Costas achieved second place in this list by scoring a half-century at the age of 19 years and 85 days. This innings of Costas put Australia in a strong position in the initial stages of the Test. he/she was dismissed by Ravindra Jadeja for 60 runs.

Sam Costas created history by becoming the youngest player to score a half-century against India on Test debut. Pakistan’s Mushtaq Mohammad and Shahid Afridi have also scored Test half-centuries against India, but both of their half-centuries were not on Test debut. Costans became the first player under the age of 20 to score a half-century on Test debut against India.
