Ravi Kishan felt pain after seeing the condition of Bhojpuri cinema – Junior actors have ruined their reputation.


Ravi Kishan Today, he/she may be earning name in Hindi films and web series, but before this he/she has been a big superstar of Bhojpuri cinema. Stars like Manoj Tiwari and Ravi Kishan took the Bhojpuri film industry to new heights. he/she gave many hit films. But Ravi Kishan is now sad to see those artists who have come to Bhojpuri cinema after him/her. According to Ravi Kishan, his/her junior actors have brought down the level of Bhojpuri cinema. his/her reputation has been ruined. In a conversation with ‘Aaj Tak’, Ravi Kishan expressed his/her pain regarding the Bhojpuri film industry and its current artists.

‘Bhojpuri cinema has become synonymous with obscenity’

Ravi Kishan said, ‘Even though it (Bhojpuri cinema) has raised social issues and made serious cinema, but with time Bhojpuri cinema has become synonymous with obscenity. Many songs and scenes in major films have been criticized for objectifying women.

‘I am sad with the juniors, they have brought down the level of Bhojpuri cinema’

Ravi Kishan further said, ‘Unfortunately, I feel a bit unhappy with my juniors. he/she has spoiled the reputation of Bhojpuri cinema. Bhojpuri is a language spoken by 25 crore people and I am very proud of it. I have also introduced a bill to give it more importance.

‘Bhojpuri cinema has to be respected’

Ravi Kishan further said, ‘I am the person who started the third phase of Bhojpuri cinema and today it provides employment to more than 1 lakh people. By the time the actors junior to me went to Mumbai, I had prepared a platform for them. Ravi Kishan also said that his/her aim is to bring respect to Bhojpuri cinema.
