Ratan Tata had once dated Simi Grewal. Both were in a relationship, and Simi herself had revealed this in an interview given to ETimes in 2011. But after some time their relationship broke. Ratan Tata told why he/she did not marry

Simi Grewal had asked Ratan Tata why he/she never married? In response, Ratan Tata had said, ‘A lot of things happened, which stopped me from getting married. The timing was not right and then I became so engrossed in work that I had no time. I came close to getting married several times, but things didn’t work out.

‘I yearn for my wife and family, I feel lonely’

Ratan Tata also told that they had fallen in love four times and even talked about marriage, but due to some reason or the other things went wrong. he/she had said, ‘Many times it happens that I feel lonely due to not having a wife or family. Sometimes I yearn for it. However, I sometimes enjoy the freedom of not having to worry about anyone else’s feelings or anyone else’s concerns.’

At the same time, Ratan Tata had once talked about his/her first love in an interview given to ‘Humans of Bombay’. he/she had told, ‘I was in Los Angeles. I fell in love and was almost married. But at the same time, I had decided to go back, because I was away from my grandmother for almost seven years.

Ratan Tata had further said, ‘Grandma’s health was not well. So I came back to meet her and thought that the person I wanted to marry would come to India with me. But due to the India-China war of 1962, her parents did not agree with her move and the relationship broke down.

Died on the night of 9 October

Talking about Ratan Tata, he/she died at Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai at 11 pm on 9 October. Ratan Tata was admitted in the ICU, and was suffering from age-related ailments.
