In the letter, two of Ratan Tata’s friends write, ‘Ratan Tata has come to us from India. he/she is easy to get along with and has made many friends. Although they have been here for only a year and a half, they have become quite American. his/her khaki pants and his/her yellow shirt are the topic of discussion. Ratan wants to become an engineer. he/she has surprised many people including his/her teacher with his/her knowledge of the principals of engineering in Physics class.

It is further written in the letter, ‘Last spring Ratan met J.V. Played baseball for the team, although he/she had never played the sport before. Apart from his/her extra-curricular activities, he/she writes for the Review and is a staunch member of the Cosmopolitan Club. Where he/she has talked about India. he/she compared his/her Indian school to Riverdale. Ratan came to the conclusion that although he/she takes six less courses here. ‘Riverdale is a very tough school.’

Ratan Tata’s friend further writes, ‘Ratan is planning to go to college in America to get his/her engineering degree, and then probably go back to India. Ratan’s charming and humble character will surely bring him/her success, we are sure that if he/she continues to develop his/her charm and intelligence, he/she will have a happy and fruitful life.’
