Ratan Tata gave an interview to a private channel Money Life. In that interview, he/she has mentioned in detail the incident involving PM VP Singh. he/she told that it was about those days when I was made the chairman of Air India and Indian Airlines. he/she further said that I was on the same post for three years, but things were not going well at that time, it was a year full of problems. The reason for this was excessive politicization of Air India. Thoughts were also different.

Had acquired enmity with VP Singh
Prime Minister VP Singh was in government at that time. Then JRD Tata wrote a letter to him/her. In the letter, he/she expressed his/her views on the allegations of foreign exchange violation on Tata Zug. In the interview, Ratan Tata told that former Enforcement Director, Foreign Exchange Bhure Lal was leading an investigation. The allegations were whether the child of the parent company or the grandchild of the parent company also required the approval/permission of the Reserve Bank for registration. he/she said that this issue could never be proved.
