Ratan Tata did not go to Buckingham Palace for the dog! It may be hard to believe, but this story is true

New Delhi: Padma Vibhushan Ratan Tata has passed away. he/she breathed his/her last at the age of 86 on Wednesday, October 9 at Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai. Ratan Tata, who lived the principle of simple living and high thinking, kept philanthropy above business throughout his/her life. This feeling made him/her an animal lover. The height of his/her love for animals was that he/she did not even accept the invitation from Buckingham Palace because his/her pet dog was ill. Actually, King Charles of England wanted to honor him/her for his/her love for animals, but Ratan Tata canceled the meeting at the last moment. Businessman Suhail Seth told this story in a video which went viral on social media. The incident is of the year 2018. Prince Charles had decided to give Ratan Tata a Lifetime Achievement Award for his/her philanthropy under the British Asian Trust. The ceremony was to take place on 6 February 2018 at Buckingham Palace. Ratan Tata had initially agreed to receive this award, but at the last moment he/she canceled his/her trip.

Suhail Seth told that Ratan Tata’s pet dog was sick and he/she did not want to leave it. Suhail reached London on 2 or 3 February. As soon as he/she reached London, he/she received 11 missed calls from Ratan Tata. Ratan Tata told that one of his/her dogs, Tango and Tito, is very ill and he/she cannot leave him/her.

Suhail Seth tried hard to convince Ratan Tata that the ceremony was with Prince Charles, but Ratan Tata remained firm on his/her decision and canceled going to the ceremony. Suhail Seth told that when Prince Charles came to know about this, he/she appreciated this sentiment of Ratan Tata.

Suhail Seth recalled the words of Prince Charles and said, ‘he/she is a true person. Ratan is a good hearted person. This is why the Tata family is so respected today. This is why the Tata Group is so stable.

In June this year, Tata Trust’s Small Animal Hospital was opened in Mahalaxmi, Mumbai under the guidance of Ratan Tata. Ratan Tata’s pet dog Tito died a few years ago. Ratan Tata will always be remembered for his/her kindness and compassion.
