Politics took place once again regarding Vande Mataram. There was a lot of uproar in the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly on Wednesday. Samajwadi Party’s state president Abu Azmi said that Muslims are being forced to sing Vande Mataram, BJP people raise slogans that if you want to live in India, you will have to say Vande Mataram. Abu Azmi said that he/she cannot say Vande Mataram at any cost because Islam does not allow it, Muslims cannot worship anyone. Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis objected to this. Said, Vande Mataram is to bow the head in front of the motherland, there is no religion that does not allow bowing the head in front of the mother. This is not a religious song, it is a national anthem. Uddhav Thackeray’s Shiv Sena, Congress and NCP leaders remained absolutely silent on this issue. Maharashtra government minister Sudhir Mungantiwar said that Abu Azmi should understand that if he/she wants to live in India, he/she will have to say Vande Mataram. Asaduddin Owaisi’s party AIMIM MLA Mufti Ismail said that the constitution gives freedom to everyone to live according to their own religion, in Islam it is not allowed to bow before anyone except Allah, then how can anyone force a Muslim to say Vande Mataram. BJP MLA Nitesh Rane called Abu Azmi a poisonous snake and even said that the one who cannot speak Vande Mataram, does not follow the constitution, such a snake should be crushed. I think no one can support Nitish Rane’s talk, his/her language, his/her tone. Neither this language is correct, nor the style is correct, calling someone a snake, crushing them, cutting off their tongue, this is not the language of democracy, nor does it come within the ambit of political decorum. That’s why Nitesh Rane should speak carefully. As far as Abu Azmi’s statement is concerned, he/she wanted the BJP to make a big issue out of his/her words. Otherwise, I had shown you the news and pictures of the incident that took place in Aurangabad in Aaj Ki Baat. At that time I had praised the role of Imtiaz Jaleel, MP of Owaisi’s party AIMIM, because Imtiaz himself sat for three hours in the temple which was besieged by the mob. At that time the situation was bad, Imtiaz Jalil got the matter cooled down. The whole country had seen the pictures. Raising that issue now, then linking it with Vande Mataram was totally wrong. That’s why Devendra Fadnavis did well to answer Abu Azmi with full facts in the assembly, but since Abu Azmi mentioned Vande Mataram for a political purpose, BJP got a chance to retaliate. Now regarding the statement of Abu Azmi, BJP leaders are asking Rahul Gandhi, Akhilesh Yadav, Sharad Pawar, Uddhav Thackeray, Nitish Kumar whether they support the statement of Abu Azmi. The alliance of opposition parties has been named India, will their ‘India’ stand with those who refuse to say Vande Mataram?

Fissures in the India coalition

The claims of unity made by the leaders of 26 opposition parties in Bangalore have started showing problems. As soon as the leaders reached their respective states, the question of unity arose. Yesterday, all the leaders who were calling each other the watchmen of democracy, today started calling each other the killers of democracy. The first case came from Bengal. CPM leader Vrinda Karat said that Mamata Banerjee does politics of violence, suppresses the voice of the common man, is killing democracy in Bengal, so there cannot be an alliance with her. Vrinda Karat said that after the kind of violence Mamta Banerjee did in the Panchayat elections, it is not possible for the Left Front to stand with Mamta. Yesterday Sitaram Yechury said and today Brinda Karat said that it is difficult to compromise with Mamta in Bengal. The Left has an old enmity with Mamta in Bengal, and with the Congress in Kerala. That’s why the opposition unity will not be able to survive in the two states, the leaders of the Left are accepting this. Similarly, Congress is in direct fight with Kejriwal in Delhi and Punjab, although in Bangalore Kejriwal claimed that he/she will stand firmly with Congress and other parties to protect democracy. Congress also promised friendship with Kejriwal. But the Congress leaders of Punjab opened a front against Kejriwal. Punjab Congress President Amarinder Singh Raja Wading surrounded Bhagwant Mann’s government on the issue of drug problem, floods and compensation to farmers. When he/she was asked that now Kejriwal is a member of the Congress’s India Alliance, why such attacks now, Raja Vading said that the alliance with the common man will be at the center, in Punjab the Congress will keep asking questions of the public to Bhagwant Mann. Cracks are clearly visible in Bengal, Kerala, Delhi and Punjab. But a similar situation will happen in UP, Bihar and Jharkhand as well. When the matter reaches to the distribution of seats, then the trouble of Congress will start. How many seats will Nitish and Lalu give to Congress in Bihar? In Jharkhand also, if Nitish and Lalu will ask Hemant Soren for a seat for their respective parties, then what will be left for the Congress? In UP, Akhilesh Yadav will leave two-three seats for Jayant Chaudhary, but will he/she agree to give more than five seats to Congress? I think that no matter how many claims of unity the opposition parties make, but when it comes to seat distribution, the alliance will run only in those states like Orissa, Karnataka, Telangana, Chhattisgarh and Andhra Pradesh, where other parties other than the Congress do not exist. Sitaram Yechury’s talk will be applicable in the rest of the states. Opposing parties will field candidates against each other, but the issue in the alliance is not just about seat sharing, it is also about the name of the leader of the alliance. There will be differences on who will be the prime ministerial candidate from the coalition. Its indications were also received on Wednesday. Trinamool Congress MP Shatabdi Roy said that Mamta Banerjee has all the qualities to become the Prime Minister, she wants to see Mamta leading the country. Kejriwal also aspires to become the prime minister. Aam Aadmi Party MP Raghav Chadha said that it is his/her dream for Kejriwal to become the Prime Minister. There is no doubt that Mamta Banerjee wants to enter the politics of the Center by handing over Bengal to her nephew Abhishek Banerjee. She is working on this strategy. This is not possible without the help of the Congress, that is why he/she shared the stage with his/her arch-enemy in Bengal and the Congress in Bengaluru. As far as Kejriwal is concerned, Kejriwal wants to become the Prime Minister but he/she knows that at present there is only one MP from his/her party in the Lok Sabha. he/she will not be able to claim until the number of MPs of his/her party reaches forty and it is not possible to reach this figure in the next election, so he/she will wait for now and try to increase the strength of his/her party by joining the opposition alliance. As far as Nitish is concerned, Nitish is definitely in the race for the Prime Minister’s candidature, he/she wants to come to Delhi, has expressed this on several occasions, the agreement with Lalu has been made on this condition, that’s why Nitish started a campaign to unite the opposition 11 months ago. he/she hoped that apart from the name of the alliance in Bangalore, his/her name would be announced as its convenor. Congress did not allow this to happen. That’s why Nitish returned to Patna after getting angry.

Why did Nitish, Lalu come early from Bangalore?

Party leaders of BJP leader Sushil Modi and Jitan Ram Manjhi say that Nitish Kumar is angry for not being made the coordinator of the alliance. But on Wednesday Nitish Kumar said something else in Rajgir. Giving clarification, Nitish said, all the issues were discussed in Bangalore, their opinion was given importance. Since everything was settled, instead of staying for the press conference, he/she returned early. Earlier, Nitish also gave clarification in the public meeting of Rajgir. Nitish reached the Malmas fair in Rajgir on Wednesday. Nitish said that he/she wanted to come on the first day of the fair i.e. Tuesday itself, in this regard he/she returned early from Bangalore but it was made an issue, useless things were spread. Nitish is now giving clarification. This is their compulsion. But there is no substance in his/her arguments. On Tuesday, when he/she had returned early from Bangalore, Mallikarjun Kharge had said that some leaders were getting flight time, so they left early. But the reality was that Nitish, Tejashwi and Lalu had gone by chartered plane with their party leaders, they could have taken off even after two hours. No flight was going to be missed. Now Nitish is saying that he/she had to participate in Rajgir’s program, so he/she ran away from Bangalore as soon as possible. But the reality is that Nitish’s visit to Rajgir was not scheduled for Tuesday, but for Wednesday, and everyone knew this for two weeks. he/she had to inaugurate the Malmas fair on Wednesday itself. For this, an advertisement was also given by the Bihar government. Tejashwi Yadav also had to come in the program because the revenue and land reform department of Bihar organizes this fair, it is with RJD only. RJD leader Alok Mehta is his/her minister, but neither Tejashwi reached the program on Wednesday, nor his/her minister Alok Mehta. Nitish Kumar himself also reached there at 2 pm. That’s why it is wrong to say that he/she ran away from Bangalore to join Rajgir’s program. Now a new thing has come to the fore. It is learned that Tejashwi and Lalu wanted to attend the opposition’s press conference in Bangalore but due to Nitish’s stubbornness, they too had to come. Now Tejashwi and Lalu are angry with Nitish. That’s why Tejashwi did not participate in the program with Nitish in Rajgir. Overall, it would not be wrong to say that no matter how much Nitish tries to hide, but there is no smoke without fire. (Rajat Sharma)
