Now it is clear that the next election will be India vs India, Modi vs all. Modi has accepted the challenge, and at this time Modi is seen standing on firm ground. There is an argument of the opposition parties that in the 2019 elections, BJP got 45 percent votes, which means 55 percent votes were against BJP. If this vote is kept together then success can be achieved, Modi can be defeated. But the reality is that in 2019, there were 224 Lok Sabha seats in which BJP got more than 50 percent votes. Secondly, the six major parties Bahujan Samaj Party, Telugu Desam Party, Biju Janata Dal, YSR Congress, Bharat Rashtra Samithi, and Janata Dal-S are not included in the coalition formed by the opposition. These parties have 57 members in the Lok Sabha. All these parties have a good support base in their respective states. That’s why there will be a triangular contest in these states. Leaving aside the figures, the biggest question is, whose face will the opposition alliance put forward against Modi? Who will be the prime ministerial candidate? Because as soon as it comes to this, unity will be in tatters because there are many claimants and no one is ready to compromise.

Nitish Kumar’s disappearance after Tuesday’s meeting is not a good sign for the opposition alliance, because it is being said that Nitish wanted that he/she took the initiative, worked hard, brought everyone together on one platform, for the opposition alliance. That’s why he/she should be made the convenor and it should be announced today itself, but only the name of the alliance was announced. The discussion on the name of the coordinator of the alliance was postponed for the next meeting, that’s why Nitish got angry and left. Lalu feels that the way for Tejashwi to become the Chief Minister will not be clear until Nitish goes into the politics of the center, so Lalu is also with Nitish, he/she also left before the press conference. Opposition parties are saying that BJP is a communal party, they have come together to save secularism, but Asaduddin Owaisi is saying that Shiv Sena stayed with BJP, Nitish Kumar stayed with BJP, Mamta stayed with BJP, Farooq Abdullah Stayed with BJP, today everyone has become secular for Congress and they never went with BJP but Congress calls them ‘B’ team of BJP, what kind of secularism is this?

Opposition parties will say that BJP has added such parties, whose names are not even known, just to show more numbers. It is true that many leaders of regional parties have joined the NDA. People do not know their names at the national level, but it is also true that be it Omprakash Rajbhar, Upendra Kushwaha, Chirag Paswan, Jitan Ram Manjhi, Anupriya Patel, Sanjay Nishad, these are the leaders whose castes vote on victory or defeat. Makes an impact and all these leaders have a lot of influence in their respective castes. If this was not the case, then why did Nitish Kumar make Manjhi the Chief Minister? Why was Upendra Kushwaha made a minister even after rebelling many times? Similarly, if Omprakash Rajbhar and Sanjay Nishad did not exist then why did Akhilesh Yadav form an alliance with them? Once, Akhilesh Yadav won the seat of Gorakhpur by forming an alliance with Sanjay Nishad. Sanjay Nishad came with BJP and Samajwadi Party lost that seat in the by-election. That’s why it is not right to say that BJP has included small parties in NDA. It has no meaning. Yes, it is certain that the anti-Modi parties showed unity, and the BJP was also forced to embrace its old and new allies. There is benefit of both in this.

Will the opposition unity last?

No one can say how strong the opposition unity is and how long it will last, but even the leaders who have reached Bengaluru believe that Narendra Modi has forced all the opponents to come on a single platform. Otherwise, the Congress which used to curse Arvind Kejriwal by drinking water, the Kejriwal who wiped out the Congress in Delhi and Punjab, today the same Congress was tweeting Kejriwal’s video, his/her byte from its Twitter handle. And Kejriwal, who earlier used to call Congress ‘Mother of Corruption’, today he/she was also telling Congress with full heart as the savior of democracy. The Uddhav Thackeray who used to tell his/her workers that if Rahul Gandhi comes in front, beat him/her with slippers, today the same Uddhav was saying that now the country has to be saved by joining hands with the Congress. Till last week Mamta was calling Congress and BJP same, whose party people hurled bombs on Congress workers in panchayat elections, today same Mamta called Rahul as her favourite. Mamta had a long talk with Sonia Gandhi before attending Monday night’s dinner, Tuesday morning also, that’s why the meeting started half an hour late. In the press conference the leaders praised each other but the thing to note is that Sharad Pawar remained silent. Sharad Pawar reached the meeting the next day instead of Monday. he/she sat silently in the press conference and then quietly left. Sharad Rao’s silence raises big questions, because even the leaders who reached Bangalore were hoping that after what happened in Maharashtra, Sharad Pawar would publicly clear his/her stand. But Sharad Pawar did not say anything. Sharad Pawar had the tension of Delhi while sitting in Bangalore. While the press conference was going on in Bengaluru, Prime Minister Narendra Modi was hugging Pawar’s nephew Ajit Pawar and his/her old aide Praful Patel in Delhi, 2,100 kilometers away. Ajit Pawar’s NCP had joined the NDA.

Why is Modi confident of his/her victory?

On Tuesday, even before the meeting of the opposition alliance began in Bengaluru, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched a scathing attack on the opposition parties. Said, the parties which are thirsty for each other’s blood in the states, are doing mischief in Bengaluru, the people of the country are seeing everything, understanding everything. Modi said that he/she can only pray for those who are cursing him/her. Modi said that a conference of hardcore corrupt is being held in Bengaluru. he/she recited an Awadhi poem and, referring to an old Hindi song, said that these people have different faces, the label is something else, the shop opened by the people of the opposition guarantees two things – the poison of casteism and Unlimited Corruption. Modi also told the hierarchy of the leaders gathered in Bengaluru, said, the bigger the corrupt, the more he/she is respected in the alliance. Those who are on bail in corruption cases, their respect is less and those who have been convicted in corruption cases, their stature is big, they have been called as special invitees. Modi said that the purpose of those who have gathered in Bengaluru is not to defeat Modi, but to save themselves because most of them are being investigated in big scams. Their meeting has only one agenda – save your family, increase corruption.

Modi rightly said that most of the parties in the opposition alliance are those whose leaders have corruption cases registered against them, but it is also true that the cases of CBI and ED have forced these leaders to come together on one platform. . This is not a secret. These leaders themselves say that their fight is less with BJP, more with ED and CBI. If Modi had not filed so many cases against the leaders of the opposition parties, Kejriwal and Mamata Banerjee might not have joined hands with the Congress. The leaders of some parties who gathered in Bengaluru feel that Modi has captured every institution, the opponents neither trust the media nor the judiciary. They can’t say anything about the judiciary, that’s why all the anger is directed at the media. That’s why in the evening meeting of NDA, Modi said that he/she is confident that this time he/she will get more than 50 percent votes in the elections and NDA will form its government for the third time.
