Raj Kapoor did not go to the hospital when Karisma Kapoor was born, Babita Kapoor told that father-in-law had put a condition

Karisma Kapoor was the favourite of Bollywood veteran Raj Kapoor. She was the only actress to whom he/she used to give mangoes. But when she was born, he/she was the only one who did not go to the hospital to see her. he/she had put a condition to see Karisma. he/she had said that if that happened, only then he/she would meet her. he/she would lift her in his/her arms. However, when he/she came to know that his/her granddaughter was as per his/her expectations, he/she could not stop himself from meeting her. Actually, before the birth of Karisma Kapoor, Raj Kapoor had reportedly put a unique condition. he/she had said that he/she would go to the hospital only if the baby’s eyes were blue. Babita Kapoor recalled the day Karishma was born and said that the whole family was present with her at Breach Candy Hospital, except her father-in-law. he/she insisted that he/she would come to the hospital only if the baby’s eyes were blue. Fortunately, Karishma was born with deep blue eyes like her grandfather.

Babita said that Raj Kapoor would not go to the hospital until he/she was told that the baby’s eyes were deep blue. When he/she saw that Karishma’s eyes were the same color as his/her, he/she heaved a sigh of relief and was happy.
