New Delhi. Indian Railways is constantly upgrading its services. Now most of the railway services have gone online. Passengers can book tickets online and can also know the status of the train sitting at home on their mobile. Most of the passengers are unaware that you can also book unreserved train tickets online (Unreserved Train Ticket Booking). So now you don’t need to queue at the ticket counter to buy general tickets. You can take unreserved tickets with the help of UTS ON MOBILE App.

Only last year, Indian Railways had made some changes in the train ticket booking system. Railways changed the UTS (Unreserved Ticket System). Passengers can now book unreserved tickets up to 20 km from the UTS ON MOBILE App. Earlier, passengers were allowed to book general tickets up to 5 km from the UTS on mobile app. The distance limit has also been increased in the sub-urban areas. It has now been increased from 2 km to 5 km.
