New Delhi/Pune, Due to political rhetoric, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has now been filed a criminal defamation case in Pune by Vinayak Damodar Savarkar’s grandson. On the matter, Savarkar’s grandson Satyaki Savarkar told ANI that enough is enough. Rahul Gandhi went to England last month. There he/she said in a program that Veer Savarkar has written in one of his/her books that he/she along with his/her 5-6 friends beat up a Muslim and enjoyed the fight. This is sheer insult to Savarkar.
At the same time, a case has been registered in this case under section 499 and 500 of IPC. It may be known that earlier, Gujarat Surat Court had sentenced Rahul Gandhi to two years in a defamation case regarding Modi surname, after which his/her membership of Lok Sabha was also cancelled. Rahul Gandhi was elected MP from Wayanad, Kerala.
Commented on Savarkar
On the other hand, Savarkar’s grandson Satyaki told that recently Rahul Gandhi had gone to London, where he/she also interacted with NRIs. During this, Rahul had claimed that Savarkar had written a book in which he/she mentioned that he/she and his/her friends beat up a Muslim man, which gave him/her pleasure. According to Satyaki, after mentioning this incident, Rahul Gandhi asked whether it was not an act of cowardice.
According to Satyaki, dismissing all these claims, he/she said that the incident he/she mentioned is his/her imagination, because no such incident happened in Savarkar’s life. Savarkar’s grandson said that he/she had unwavering faith in democracy. he/she just gave an advice to the Muslims to change their attitude.
