IPL team Rajasthan Royals has put an end to all these speculations by saying that Rahul Dravid will be the coach of its team.

Rajasthan Royals issued a statement saying that Rahul Dravid will be the head coach of the team. According to this, Rahul Dravid said, ‘I am very happy to return to the franchise which I used to call my ‘home’ till a few years ago.’ Rahul Dravid was the captain of Rajasthan Royals in the year 2012-2013 and then the mentor of the team in 2014-15.

It has not been told yet how long his/her tenure will be. But according to sources, it will be at least two years, which can be extended further. Rahul Dravid is returning to IPL after 5 years. After taking over the responsibility of NCA head in the year 2019, he/she had distanced himself from IPL teams. Dravid became the coach of the Indian team after NCA head. his/her tenure as Indian coach ended on 29 June with the T20 World Cup final.

Rahul Dravid was quoted in the statement as saying, “This is an ideal opportunity to take up a new challenge after the World Cup. Rajasthan Royals is the perfect team for this. With the amount of talent this team has, this is a good opportunity to take it to the next level.”
