R Ashwin equals Muttiah Muralitharan, one more series, will he/she create history again?


New Delhi. India won the test series against Bangladesh (India vs Bangaldesh) 2-0. Players like Ravindra Jadeja, R Ashwin and Akashdeep bowled amazingly for Team India. In this series, Ravi Ashwin has equaled the great Sri Lankan bowler Muttiah Muralitharan. To overtake Muralitharan, Ashwin will have to perform something similar once again.

You might be wondering whether Ashwin has equaled Muralitharan’s wickets. but it’s not like that. In fact, Ashwin has now become the player to be named ‘Player of the Series’ most number of times in Test matches. Muralitharan is also on par with him/her. Both of them have won this award a total of 11 times so far. Muralitharan has retired from cricket. While Ashwin is still playing. Ashwin will have a chance to overtake Muralitharan.

When will the next test series take place?
The Indian team will play the next test series against New Zealand. The first Test will be played on 16 October, the second on 24 October and the third Test from 1 November. Till now, a total of 62 test matches have been played between the two teams. Out of these 62 matches, India has won 22 matches. While New Zealand has won 13. Team India has not been announced for this series.
