QUICK OPINION: Who is responsible for Ambedkar-Gandhi’s appeal and violent clash in Parliament, Black Thursday?

The entire opposition, including the Congress, demonstrated in the Parliament complex over Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s statement in Parliament on Babasaheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar. But, what happened in the Parliament complex during the protest was recorded as a dark chapter in the parliamentary history of India i.e. Black Thursday. BJP MP Pratap Sarangi and MP Mukesh Rajput were injured. A video of Sarangi sitting on a wheelchair has surfaced, in which he/she has accused Congress MP Rahul Gandhi of pushing him/her. It is alleged that Rahul pushed Mukesh Rajput, due to which he/she fell on Sarangi who was sitting in a wheelchair. However, Rahul Gandhi has termed these allegations as false. Whatever happened in the Parliament complex, it was recorded as a stain on parliamentary history. After all, what is the objection that someone has to be admitted to the hospital? Has our Honorable forgotten all parliamentary honours? Sadly, we are living in such a democracy, due to which India may have to face embarrassment in the whole world.

Honorable should have kept the dignity of the constitution and the oath of parliamentarian.

The oath for every MP is fixed in the Constitution. It says that I, so and so, have been elected or nominated as a candidate to fill the seat in the Rajya Sabha or the Lok Sabha. I swear in the name of God/solemnly affirm that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the Constitution of India established by law. I will keep the sovereignty and integrity of India intact and will faithfully discharge the duties of the post I am about to assume…Now after reading this, the general public will think that what kind of politics is this? There should be no pushing or scuffling at all. At least they would have kept the honor of the Constitution and the oath.

Was this the legacy given by Baba Saheb and Gandhi?

Our honorable people have to understand one thing that they should at least respect the Constitution, Baba Saheb and Gandhiji which they often talk about in their speeches and dialogues. Ambedkar, Gandhi or Nehru may have had differences of opinion, but they never resorted to such pushback or scuffle. At the time of independence and even after that, during the time of leaders like Atal Bihari Vajpayee, leaders used to respect each other even when they had opposing views. The reason was that they had the tolerance to listen to each other. Ambedkar and Gandhi were staunch opponents of non-violence. Both of them did non-violent Satyagraha throughout their lives, but did not hurt anyone with their protests. Shouldn’t our honorable people learn from them?

Why pushed the Sarangi, is this the dignity of the Constitution?

BJP MP Pratap Sarangi said – Rahul Gandhi pushed an MP who fell on me, after which I also fell down…I was standing near the stairs when Rahul Gandhi came and pushed an MP who fell on me. fallen.’ In all this, another BJP MP Mukesh Rajput has also been injured and has been admitted to RML Hospital in Delhi. he/she is currently in ICU. Now such things are like hurting the dignity of the Constitution.

Can anyone like this clarification of Rahul?

Rahul Gandhi said that when I was trying to enter the Parliament through the entrance gate (Makar Gate), the BJP MPs were trying to stop me and threatening me. This happened at that very moment. This is the entrance of Parliament and we have the right to go inside. The main issue is that they are attacking the Constitution. Rahul may have given this clarification, but if someone has been hurt because of him/her, then it is against parliamentary dignity and humanity.

Protesting is a sign of good democracy, but scuffling or pushing is not good.

It is said that protesting in any democracy is a sign of a good democracy. In a good democracy, a strong opposition, a loyal judiciary and freedom of the press are considered important things. But in any country where there is fighting or jostling in the Parliament, it is criticized all over the world. The world has seen such a spectacle in the Indian Parliament and Legislative Assemblies before. In February 2017, a special session was called for the trust vote in the Tamil Nadu Assembly. Before the majority test, there was so much commotion in the Assembly that chairs started jumping in the House. The speaker’s chair and microphone were broken, his/her shirt was torn. Similar incidents have also happened in the UP Assembly.
Holding the Constitution book in hand and keeping the photographs of the two great men together cannot bring maturity to handle their legacy. For this, his/her ideas will have to be adopted not only with body but also with mind, only then the dignity of the Constitution and Parliament will be protected.
