‘Pushpa 2’ stampede case: Telangana CM bans special screening of films


Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has given a strong message to Telugu filmmakers after the stampede at the screening of Allu Arjun’s film ‘Pushpa 2’. Tollywood directors, producers and actors met with the CM on Thursday. Here the CM said in a strict tone that there will be no compromise with law and order. Also, special screening of films has been banned in the state. A 35-year-old woman was killed and her 9-year-old son was killed in a stampede during the screening of ‘Pushpa: The Rule’ on December 4 at Sandhya Theatre, Hyderabad. The son was injured. Actor Allu Arjun was arrested in this case and then released. After this the interrogation took place again. On the other hand, the condition of the injured child has now improved after 20 days.

Ban on special screening of films

In this meeting, the CM said in a clear tone that benefit shows will not be allowed. Controlling the crowd is the equal responsibility of the police as well as the celebrities. The government has currently banned special screening of films. he/she has also warned private security personnel. The police had claimed that the bouncers working for the actor had behaved ‘recklessly’ during the stampede and their aggressive behavior had worsened the incident.
