Pushpa 2: Allu Arjun is in a bad spot! Government takes action after woman’s death in stampede, NHRC will investigate


On the day of release of ‘Pushpa 2’, there was a sudden stampede in the theater due to which a woman died. Now Telangana Cinematography Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy has expressed condolences on the demise of the woman. he/she said, ‘Benefit shows will not be allowed from now on. It is sad that the film unit is not demanding answers from the hero. Does a person’s life matter to them? I have heard that the film is earning crores of rupees and hence I demand that Rs 25 lakh should be given to the victims, we should support that family.’ On the other hand, lawyer Rama Rao Immineni has directed ‘Pushpa 2: The A complaint has been lodged with the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) regarding the tragic stampede that took place during the premiere of ‘Rule’.

Rama Rao complained

In his/her complaint, Rama Rao pointed out lapses in the management there and accused the officials of negligence. he/she said that a huge crowd could have been expected at the event, yet the police failed to act effectively. The petitioner alleged that the pre-release event was organized without permission and the Chikkadpally police resorted to lathicharge, leading to the fatal incident.

NHRC will investigate further

Rama Rao requested the NHRC to investigate the incident and take appropriate action against those responsible for the mismanagement, including the organizers of the event. Accepting the complaint, NHRC has agreed to investigate the matter. Now only NHRC will conduct further investigation in the matter.

How did the stampede occur?

Taking necessary action after the tragic incident that took place during the screening of ‘Pushpa 2’ in Hyderabad, the Telangana government has announced a ban on morning ‘benefit shows’. The tragic incident happened on the night of December 4, when a huge crowd had gathered for the initial premiere of Allu Arjun’s ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’. As fans rushed to watch the film, a woman named Revathi (35) and her young son Sridej (13) got caught in the chaos and were fatally crushed. Both of them suffered serious injuries, Revathi died and Sridej’s condition remains critical.
