Pushpa 2: All is not well between the makers and Devi Sri Prasad! Opened in Chennai 10 days before release

While Allu Arjun’s ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’ is preparing for release on December 5, the new song of the film KISSIK is making waves. But amidst all this, it has been discussed for a long time that all is not well between the makers of the film and music director Devi Sri Prasad. It is interesting that the composer, who has won the National Film Award, has now himself approved it. he/she has clearly taken a dig at the makers at the song launch event of the film in Chennai. Recently, there were reports that there is a rift between Mythri Movie Makers and Devi Sri Prasad, the production company of ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’. For this reason, the makers have handed over the remaining work of the background score of the film to composers Thaman, Ajneesh Loknath and Sam CS. When Thaman confirmed this, fans understood why this decision was taken. Another coincidence was that Devi Sri Prasad was also replaced in Ajit Kumar’s ‘Good Bad Ugly’. This film is also being produced by Mythri Movie Makers.

Devi Sri Prasad said- You have more complaints than love for me

Now at the Chennai event of ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’, Devi Sri Prasad left no stone unturned in expressing her displeasure. he/she clearly said that the makers had to approach other composers due to the delay in work on the background score. Devi Sri Prasad said, ‘Ravi (Shankar) sir, you are blaming me by saying that I did not give the song or the background score on time. I know you love me. Where there is love, there are complaints also. But, I think you have more complaints than love for me.

Devi Sri Prasad was misbehaved at the event

Devi Sri Prasad did not stop here. he/she further said, ‘Even now I had come to this event only 20-25 minutes ago. But I was asked to wait to enter. When I heard the song ‘Kisik’ playing, I came running. As soon as I arrived, you said- ‘You have come at the wrong time, you are late.’ You tell me what can I do? If I have to talk about all these separately, there will be no use.

Due to this, the distance between the makers and Devi Shri Prasad increased.

Obviously this tug of war on stage has created a stir in the Telugu cinema world. Especially because Devi Sri Prasad is a big name in the industry. According to the recent reports, director Sukumar has re-shot many scenes of ‘Pushpa 2’. This film is going to be released on December 5, while a lot of work is still left. In such a situation, due to delay in the shoot, Devi Sri Prasad was also delayed in composing the background score. The makers put pressure on him/her to hurry up, after which he/she said that he/she cannot spoil his/her quality in a hurry.

Devi Shri Prasad said – Be it payment or credit, it is available on demand.

However, Devi Sri Prasad also told the fans during the event, ‘If we want something, we will have to ask and we will get it. But if you don’t ask, they won’t give – be it payment from producers or on-screen credit.

Budget of ‘Pushpa 2’ increased due to KGF 2

Reportedly the budget of ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’ is Rs 400-500 crore. This budget has also increased because the makers have made many changes in the film after the super success of KGF 2, separate work has been done on action scenes and VFX. The makers hope that this film will enter the Rs 1000 crore club.
