Punk condemnation continues to disappear in Balochistan


The human rights wing of the Baloch National Movement has condemned Pakistan’s constant disappearance in Balochistan. It was noted that several people were kidnapped between January 30 and February 1, underlining the area’s deteriorating crises and violations of egoistic human rights.

On 31 January, Mosaadek and Bashir Ahmed disappeared after being detained by Pakistani forces in Laki area of ​​Tehsil Mashkai in Avaran district, according to Punk’s statement, X was shared on X.

Earlier, on 30 January, Muhammad Iqbal and Zakir Yakub were detained at an FC checkpoint at Panjgur bypass, Khuzdar. The statement said that their vehicles and goods were confiscated during the arrest.

Pank said the situation worsened on 1 February, when Bago was abducted from the needle Bugti Colony, Dera Bugti district. In another incident on the same day, Ali Muhammad forcibly disappeared from Khandari, Tehsil Mashakai, Avaran district. Ali Muhammad was first under kidnapping in 2016 and 2018, underlining the nature of these violations again and again.

Pank insisted that these kidnappings commit a clear violation of international human rights laws, including the right to freedom and protection from arbitrary detention. Pank called for accountability of those who commit these crimes and release those who have forcibly disappeared. Pank urged international human rights officers and organizations to take immediate action to solve this pressure problem and try to protect fundamental rights for all in the region.

Earlier on 1 February, prominent Baloch activist Mehrang Baloch said that a person, the Pakistani security force “forcibly disappeared” Yasir Hameed three months ago. Mehrang said that the family of the youth had been looking for their hideout since then, but to no avail.

In a post on X, he/she said, “A Baloch youth, Yasir Hameed, had forcibly disappeared by Pakistani security forces three months ago. Since then, his/her family has been getting information about his/her hideout, but the state officials have neither presented him/her to the court or police station nor provided any updates. The disappearance of the applicable causes a serious human rights violation and remains a major element of the ongoing Baloch massacre.
