Pullback on LAC after agreement, logistics are being removed in disengagement, know how this happens

New Delhi: After the agreement between India and China regarding patrolling in Eastern Ladakh, the work of disengagement has now started. Patrolling here was stopped since the violent clash in this area between the armies of the two countries in 2020. But the agreement was reached only with the meeting of PM Modi and the Chinese President at the BRICS conference. After this now disengagement has started. According to the information, tents, temporary structures and vehicles are being withdrawn by both the sides. That means now both the countries are pulling back. After all, what is this disengagement? What effect will this have on Eastern Ladakh between China and India? Let us understand.

Armies of both countries are coming back

Pullback means to come back. That means, after the border dispute, China and India were face to face with each other. The armies of both the countries had prepared many temporary structures in Eastern Ladakh. Under pullback, an agreement is reached between the two countries after talks at the local commander level. Under this, both sides gradually withdraw their logistics to withdraw the military deployment, so that the tension on the border can be reduced and peace can be maintained in the area.

3D formula to end the deadlock on LAC

There are three phases to end the standoff on LAC. This is called three ‘D’ formula. Here the first D means disengagement, the second D means deescalation and the third D means induction.

disengagement

Disengagement means withdrawing from face to face. Retreating from those places where Indian and Chinese soldiers were sitting face to face and a clash could have arisen at any time is called disengagement.

deescalation

Deescalation means bringing back to normal the troops and military equipment of both the countries which have been deployed in such a way that they can attack each other at any time if needed.

deinduction

Deinduction means sending the large number of soldiers and military equipment deployed there back to their old positions. At present, more than 50-50 thousand soldiers from both sides are deployed on LAC in Eastern Ladakh. And all the military equipment is also there.
