Proof of Australia’s dishonesty, the ball was not in hand and the keeper made the stumping, the umpire also gave out.

New Delhi. There are as many stories of dishonesty in the cricket world as there are stories of Australia’s dominance. Often the umpires have also been found supporting the bullying of the Kangaroos. If you watch the video of India-Australia Sydney Test (2008), it will seem that Steve Buckner is also supporting the Kangaroos. That’s why Harbhajan Singh even calls Buckner Australia’s 12th Man in a video. Not only India, other teams have also been victims of Australia’s ‘dishonesty’. One such video can be seen of Brian Lara, in which he/she has to return to the pavilion despite being not out.

Ever since the Test series between India and Australia started, videos of Kangaroos’ ‘foul play’ have been going viral on social media. One such video is from the Brisbane Test, in which Australia’s wicketkeeper Ian Healy tries to stump West Indies’ Brian Lara. Lara moves ahead of the crease to play the ball of off-spinner Mathews, but he/she misses. Ian Healy catches the ball going outside the leg stump and goes for stumping. By the time he/she hits the stump, the ball has already left his/her gloves. That means Ian Healy hits the stump with his/her gloves.

Brian Lara, returning to the crease after missing the shot, is watching all this. Lara knows that he/she is not out but the umpire gives him/her out. Ian Healy also knows that Lara is not out but he/she celebrates the wicket taken dishonestly. Lara also tells the umpire why he/she is not out. When Lara is talking to the umpire, Ian Healy standing nearby is listening to everything but he/she does not try to tell the truth.

Recently, Ian Healy mentioned Lara being given out wrongly during the Pink Ball Test match. he/she said, ‘I caught the leg side ball as it was falling and stumped. Gloves hit the stump. When the umpire came, I said that I could not tell with certainty what had happened. Lara was saying that he/she is not out, so I said that I don’t know. On this the umpire said that Lara is out because he/she saw the ball hitting the stump. What could I do on this? In the Pink Ball Test match in which Ian Healy narrated this story, West Indies defeated Australia.

Brian Lara has also mentioned this controversial stumping many times. However, now they want to forget it and move ahead. In a video he/she said that Australia and Australians are his/her favourite. he/she started his/her Test career here. he/she and Healy are good friends now.
