The event highlights the ongoing debate among its supporters over the advantages and disadvantages of the H-1B visa program. Through this program, foreign workers get entry into the American labor market. Tesla CEO Elon Musk has already supported the visa program. he/she says that due to this the tech industry is getting qualified people.

President Donald Trump emphasized that top talent is needed to strengthen American companies. he/she said, “We want qualified people to come to our country. And H-1B, I know this program very well. I use this program. Maitre d’s, wine experts, even waiters, high- Quality waiters – you should get the best people.”

“People like Larry need engineers. Masa too, they need engineers like never before,” he/she said, referring to industry leaders present at the event. Trump continued, “I feel that we need to let really capable people, great people, into our country. We’re doing that through the H-1B visa program.”
