President invites PM Modi… will take oath on 9th June, now understand the further process of government formation

New Delhi: After the results of the Lok Sabha elections 2024, now the exercise to form the government is going on. In this sequence, the NDA Parliamentary Party meeting was held in Parliament House. Leaders of all the constituent parties of the NDA attended this meeting and Rajnath Singh supported the proposal to nominate PM Modi as the leader of the NDA Parliamentary Party. After this decision, the NDA staked claim to form the government. On behalf of the NDA, Narendra Modi met President Draupadi Murmu. The President invited Modi to form the government. Senior BJP leader Prahlad Joshi announced that 73-year-old Modi will take oath as Prime Minister for the third time. The ceremony is scheduled for Sunday, June 9 at 6 pm. The swearing-in will be attended by the heads of states of countries like Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Bhutan, Nepal, Maldives and Mauritius. Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, ‘The 18th Lok Sabha is a Lok Sabha with new energy, youthful energy and the intention to do something. This is the first election after the Amrit Mahotsav of Independence. These are the 25 years which are 25 years of our Amrit period.’ he/she further said, ‘I assure the countrymen that in the 18th Lok Sabha, during our five-year term, we will leave no stone unturned in fulfilling the hopes and aspirations of the country with the same speed and dedication. There was an NDA meeting this morning and all the NDA colleagues have once again chosen me for this responsibility and all the NDA colleagues informed the President about this. The President called me and gave me permission to work as the Prime Minister-designate and informed me for the swearing-in ceremony.’

I have told the President that we will be convenient on the evening of 9th and by then we will submit the list of the Council of Ministers to the President and then the swearing-in ceremony will take place.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah said that Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has just proposed the name of Narendra Modi as the leader of the Lok Sabha, the leader of the BJP Parliamentary Party and the leader of the NDA Parliamentary Party, I support it. This proposal is a statement of the will of the 140 crore people of the country. Union Minister Nitin Gadkari said that I approve the proposal made by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh. We had the good fortune of working with him/her in the last 10 years. he/she worked with dedication so that our country is happy, prosperous, rich, becomes a superpower of the world and there is progress and development in all areas of society. I am confident that he/she has impressed not only the country but also the world with his/her work. The work done in ten years was just the beginning, in the coming five years we will become a great power in the world.

What did Nitish and Naidu say?

Bihar Chief Minister and JDU leader Nitish Kumar said that our party supports BJP Parliamentary Party leader Narendra Modi for the post of Prime Minister of India. It is a matter of great happiness that he/she has been PM for 10 years and is going to be PM again. he/she has served the entire country. We have full faith that whatever is left, he/she will complete it next time. We will be with him/her completely, all the time, whatever he/she does, whatever he/she does is very good. In the NDA Parliamentary Party meeting, TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu proposed the name of Narendra Modi as the Prime Minister of the country. he/she said that we congratulate everyone, we have achieved a great majority. I have seen during the election campaign that PM Modi never took rest for three months. he/she campaigned day and night. In Andhra Pradesh, we held 3 public meetings and 1 big rally and made a huge difference in winning the election in Andhra Pradesh.
