Prerna Sthal built in the Parliament premises is no less than a pilgrimage site for every Indian, said Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar

New Delhi: Prerna Sthal was inaugurated in the Parliament premises on Sunday evening. On this occasion, Rajya Sabha Deputy Chairman Harivansh Narayan Singh, Union Ministers Ashwini Vaishnav, Arjun Ram Meghwal, L. Murugan and Union Minister Kiren Rijiju paid tribute to Lala Lajpat Rai. The statues of Indian great men, revolutionaries, great men who brought about spiritual and cultural renaissance have been installed respectfully at Prerna Sthal. These include statues of many great men including Mahatma Gandhi, Lala Lajpat Rai, Birsa Munda, Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar, Maharana Pratap, Shivaji Maharaj. This Prerna Sthal will give information to people about those people who sacrificed for the independence of India and increased the glory of India in history.

Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar inaugurated Prerna Sthal on Sunday evening. During this, he/she, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla and Union Ministers paid floral tributes to the statues of Mahatma Gandhi and Lala Lajpat Rai. During this, the Vice President said that the best place in the campus has been decided for Prerna Sthal. This is a place which is no less than a pilgrimage site for every Indian. I have heard and thought about Prerna Sthal, but I am very impressed to think that it will be done in such a grand way on ground reality. Whoever spends some time here will not be able to remain unimpressed. Guess what is the contribution of great men in the history of India.

The Vice President said that Dr. Ambedkar was awarded Bharat Ratna many years after independence. I am proud that I was a member of the Union Council of Ministers at that time. No amount of praise for our great men is enough. This is the moment in their life that they had never imagined. The statues of all the great men and revolutionaries installed in the Parliament have been arranged at one place. Here visitors and tourists will be able to listen and read about their philosophy of life. For this, a special arrangement is being made inside the Parliament.
