During a conversation with Times Now, Padmini Kolhapure shared the story of slapping Rishi Kapoor for ‘Prem Rog’ and said, ‘I remember the slap scene. I had to slap Chintu and what normally happens in an action is that the slap has to be in sync with the action. But Raj Kapoor uncle didn’t want that, he/she wanted me to slap him/her hard and then he/she said, ‘No, you slap, I want that perfect shot’. Then Chintu said to me, ‘You go ahead and slap me.’

Rishi Kapoor wanted to take revenge

Padmini Kolhapure further added, ‘The first take, my hand would just start with that swing and slow down near her cheek. But then Raj Kapoor uncle used to say, ‘No, I don’t want such a light slap.’ And for that shot we had to do some 7-8 retakes. Something or the other kept going wrong, either it was camera rotation, lighting issue, technical issue and because of this I had to slap him/her 7-8 times. Now that I think about it, I don’t know what would have happened if I had to take so many slaps.

Rishi Kapoor completed the shot in one take

The actress also shared that Rishi had told her that one day he/she would take revenge. Interestingly, when both the stars were shooting for ‘Raahi Badal Gaye’ and the actor had to slap him/her, instead of taking his/her revenge, Rishi Kapoor completed the shot in just one take.
